Laura Lim, Director, Producer, Editor, Photographer and Videographer

 

I began my career early working in Photography. Instantly, I gravitated to the dynamic works of Ansel Adams and knew that is that I wanted to do. Take pictures that inspire other as much as I was inspired.

 

From there I took Photography classes in college and ended up working with video as well. I received an Associates Degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Video Production; as well as a Bachelors Degree in the Science of Film and Television at the Tisch School of the Art at NYU. 

 

Graduating in 2002, I spent the next three years working with different production companies as an assistant to the producers, directors, and editors of New York; whether it was film, television or documentaries. I got my feet wet in all of it.  New York will always have a special place in my heart.

 

From there I worked for Royal Caribbean as a Broadcast Assistant growing to become Head Broadcast. I worked for Royal for 7 years of editing, shooting videos, organizing, budgeting, satellite adjustment and live shows. I travel to many places because of this job and what an adventure it always was.

 

After my run will Royal Caribbean, I co-founded Dacary Production a video production company in Colombia. We shot, edited, wrote, shot video and pictures, animated graphics and cartoons. 

 

I love creating and making videos and plan to continue for many years to come.
